Indulge in our version of this classic Indian dessert. Steeped in creamed almonds and carrots, our chai masala will bring you aromatic bliss. Serve this satisfying dessert warm or chilled during any occasion. With the simple recipe below, you can create your own batch of this irresistible kheer.
Ingredients
- 4 cups oat milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 3/4 cup almonds
- 3 carrots
- 4 tsp Prana Kitchens Chai Masala
- a few strands of saffron
- 1 cup muscovado sugar or raw cane sugar
Directions
Soak almonds for 30 minutes in warm water so you can remove the skin.
Peel, cut, and cook carrots in 1/2 cup of oat milk.
Grind everything together except the saffron strands, to a smooth paste.
Bring to a slow boil, add saffron strands, and remove from the fire.
Cool completely and chill for 4 to 6 hours and enjoy a delicious kheer!
